Escape from Planet Earth

Just as treasures are uncovered from the earth, so virtue appears from good deeds, and wisdom appears from a pure and peaceful mind. To walk safely through the maze of human life, one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue.”  Buddha

Having seen glimpses of the spirit world and experienced brief out-of-body encounters, I cannot tell you how many times my frustration level has peaked because I’m still here on Earth.  I love our planet dearly, but she’s also overwhelmed by the negativity of the humans living on her.  If you read my earlier post, she is anticipated to shortly ascend to a higher plane and leave us humans in the dust …that we created.

There are many days when I’ve watched myself dragging my feet through Earth’s physical reality and it has felt as slow as molasses in January.  Having had a taste of realms that are truly governed by love, I’ve often found myself thinking, “Why?  Why am I still here?”  I would never contemplate suicide.  In fact, suicide will likely keep your spirit Earth-bound longer than anything.  It’s just that there are days when the pettiness, the negativity, and even the challenge of making the simplest decisions make me want to ‘get out of here’ and go directly to a higher place.  The recurring question in the back of my mind has always been, ‘When?  When will I graduate from Planet Earth?”

We often think we’re alone with our thoughts.  However, as I’ve mentioned before, we’re not.  We’re not alone.  We’re NEVER alone.  Someone, likely many beings, are always listening.  Recall also that thoughts are things!

Well, this morning I couldn’t seem to get out of bed so I just stayed where I was and let myself drift in and out of consciousness.  When I do that, I see visions.  It’s a bit like watching television.  One image after another will appear in front of me.  If I’m lucky, I will remember some of them, because like dreams, visions usually carry important messages.

One image in particular caught my attention.  It showed bold letters in red and yellow that read, “‘EVAC”.  I puzzled over this and thought, “What does that mean?  Should I evacuate? Perhaps I should consider moving?”  Certainly my life had changed recently as I lost my job just this week when my satellite office was shut down.  Perhaps evacuation was something to consider.

Out of curiosity, I finally Googled the word ‘EVAC’.  I highly doubted that there was anything called EVAC except perhaps some kind of vacuum cleaner.   However, there it was!  On my computer screen appeared the exact same lettering in red and yellow that I had seen in my vision.  EVAC was a logo for a video game.  Amazed, I watched the introductory YouTube video which showed a little square ‘being’ trying to escape while overcoming the challenges presented to it in a complex maze.  At the end of the video, the game’s motto appeared in bold lettering and the words made me laugh out loud:  ” THE ONLY WAY OUT IS THROUGH!”

Well, there it was.  My guides had been listening to my frustration and were letting me know there would be no short cuts.  Also, I’m frequently reminded of their sense of humor.  Everybody who’s here in a physical sense must participate as a player in the game of life.  In fact, many of us have come back to Earth to help others.  The amnesia that results from being born again on the Earth throws us off course.  Thankfully, it’s quite apparent that meditation, living in the present, and coming from a place of love will hasten your ability to evolve in consciousness, transcend fear and pain, and ascend to the realms of higher consciousness.  Thankfully, divine beings, the greater reality, or God will constantly provide you with reminders of who you really are – a spirit having a human experience.

If wishes were fishes we’d all cast nets in the sea.” Eric Bogle
