Who Are You Really?

It’s never too late to be what you might have been. – George Elliot

On a voyage of self-discovery, George posted sticky notes all over the house with the question, ‘Who am I really?’  This idea came from gifted intuitive coach, Rosanna Sardella.  The Post-It messages were designed to tap-into George’s subconscious mind and heighten self-awareness, surface hidden aspects of his personality, and his life’s mission.

Every morning and every night, as I stared in the mirror, brushing my teeth or washing my face, the bright pink and blue sticky notes with the one question ‘Who am I really?‘ stared back at me.  Initially, I found the exercise quite amusing.  Also, I thought the question was for George, not for me.  However, the Lord works in the most mysterious ways imagineable.  Within a matter of months, both George and I had experienced pivotal events that drastically heightened our awareness of who we ‘really‘ were, and changed our lives forever.

May I suggest you try this technique.  Post your deepest questions all over the house.  Start by asking just the one question ‘Who am I really?’  This is the most important question of your life because your life matters.  The answer is vital to your spiritual development, and ours.  Whether we know it or not, everyone is connected and our thoughts, words and actions impact everyone around us energetically. Post that one question for six months to a year and see what happens.

It’s been a year of awakening and heightened awareness.  That one question remains stuck on my mirror.  When I realized the power of it, I was reluctant to remove it.  Sure enough, the awakening continues.

My book, Diamond Lantern, Waking-up To Who You Really Are, describes a ten year process of awakening.  Writing Diamond Lantern was an enormous help in answering the question of who I am, and who you are, generally.  However, it was after the Post-It Notes were plastered on our walls and mirrors that I had my biggest wake-up call yet.  It was a shock.  I’ll describe it in my next book. However, with heightened awareness comes clarity.  With clarity, comes a path and a responsibility to live your truth, speak your truth, and fulfill your life’s mission.

My mission is now crystal clear.  With a little effort, yours could be come clear too!  I don’t know how I’m going to accomplish what is set before me.  However, this lifetime is about faith.  It’s about learning to think, walk, and act in faith.  When I get there, I will let you know – in Diamond Lantern II!  May your path be a ‘walk in the park’.

“Examine yourself, and learn who you are, in what way you exist, and how you will come to be.  It is not fitting that you be ignorant of yourself….’  ‘For he who has not known himself has known nothing, but he who has known himself has at the same time already achieved knowledge about the depth of the all. So then, you, have beheld what is obscure to men, that is, what they ignorantly stumble against.” Jesus of Nazareth

  1. The question ; “who am I?” is a pathless journey, many give up and stop half way. And are lost forever in world crowd. Infact, I think the journey never ends, people just decide where and when to stop whenever they feel they know enough already. But “knowing enough is not enough”
