Earth Hour March 26

“Teach your children what we have taught our children, that the earth is our mother.  Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth.  If men spit upon the ground, they spit upon themselves.”
~Native American Wisdom

Last  week I was traveling and stayed in a hotel in Toronto.  Early on Friday morning, on March 11, 2011, I woke-up at 5:30am and was compelled to immediately turn on the television to watch the news, something I never do.  Images of total destruction met my eyes and for an instant, I wondered if I had turned on a Godzilla horror movie.  However, my heart sunk as I became aware that I was watching a tsunami as it hit Japan.  Since that day, countless images and reports of death and devastation have been heart-breaking.

Download my eBook to understand a little more about our planet, from Her perspective.  Earth is an ancient and conscious being who has been alive and evolving for eons.  Today, Mother Earth is suffering deeply, is outraged and losing patience with the human race.  Our violence, our toxic environmental disasters, our disrespect for all of nature and the amazing planet that we live on have all taken their toll on Her.  She has a long memory and is acutely aware of each one of us.  She is also far more powerful than all of us put together.  According to some reports, this recent 8.9 magnitude earthquake moved Japan 13 feet closer to the USA, shifted the Earth’s axis by 6.5 inches, and shortened our day.  So what do we do?

It’s time to wake-up.  Come from a place of love.  Heal the anger, hurt, or emotional pain in your heart because She feels it all.  On a subconscious level, so do we.  Become acutely aware of the natural world and treat all living things with great respect and compassion.  So many times I have received Mother Earth’s messages and they have frequently shown a path surrounded by trees and mountains.  It’s time to get back on the path to nature.

Countless scientists have warned about the danger of pollution, over-population and global warming.  Some scientists, like James Lovelock, have prophesied Mother Earth striking back.  Learn to live in low-impact and environmentally sustainable situations and exist in harmony with the natural world.  We can learn much from the indigenous peoples of the world.  They have lived in harmony with Mother Earth for centuries by taking only what they needed from nature, and giving back, to maintain a natural balance.  The anecdote is peace, love and harmony.  On Earth Hour, and every hour, be kinder to Mother Earth.

  1. Elizabeth, like you said in an earlier entry “many of us are receiving messages from Mother Earth on a subconsious level.” and I fully agree! We can do better than that by both sending and receiving love, healing and use our intentions. If we are not able to send healing we, at least can think positive and try to do the best we can.

You are really capable to send healing ~ I felt much better today. THANK YOU Beautiful Soul.

Lately, I have noticed that I’m highly sensitive. On March 11, 2011, I woke-up earlier than I normally do and immediately I read the news on the internet, something I never do, and my heart also sunk when I was watching the tsunami as it hit Japan. And today, earlier, while i was sitting with a painting, my chair all of a sudden, started to shake – it was like something jolted beneath our house. I can imagine I felt something similar to an earthquake right here at my place. This will not happen in Sweden I guess! After half an hour or so, while I was listening to the radio, I heard they were talking about a new earthquake in Japan, it was an aftershok. And then, just a few minutes ago, after I’d finished the work for today, I read about a strong earthquake in Burma. This have happened once before, but then I was doing a reading to an other person.
It is time to wake up.
