Are You Compatible?

“The only reason to be with somebody is that they make you a better person and you make them a better person.”  Linda Ronstadt

Are you compatible with each other?  Are you compatible with the planet?

Humans must learn to get along better with each other but it’s even more important for everyone to get along with the creatures on the planet.

I LOVE wildlife and it breaks my heart that humans are destroying the environment and animal populations at a faster rate.  We’re all responsible for the destruction, and also for fixing things.  Happily, a helpful article in Animal Matters provided simple, quick and easy ways to reverse some of the damage. I’ve added my own thoughts on compatibility:

Choose Socially Responsible and Environmentally Conscious Friends and Lovers

May I suggest you work to understand the person you’re in love with, or spending the most time with. What really matters to them, compared with what matters most to you? Do you both share similar views?

What Are Your Core Values?

When you live life according to your core values, it feels really good.  In contrast, if you live life according to someone else’s core values, everything can feel wrong.  When the one you love shares  your core values, life is harmonious.

What are your core values?  Here are some examples:

  1. Contribution – to make a positive and lasting contribution to the world
  2. Hope – to maintain a positive and optimistic outlook that is infectious
  3. Independence – to be free from dependence on others
  4. Justice – to promote fair and equal treatment for all
  5. Humour – to see the humorous side of myself and the world, and share this perspective with others

I’ve written quite a few articles on Twin Flames. These dynamic duos find each other, through time and space, in order to reunite and save the planet.  Their love for each other is powerful, and their love for the planet just as strong. Consequently, they tend to have socially responsible and environmentally sustainable core values that are compatible with Mother Earth.

IN THE NAME OF LOVE, here are simple things Twin Flames and all caring souls can do together, to reverse the damage and positively impact our world:

Eat Vegetarian and Vegan Diets

Vegetarians and vegans greatly lessen the suffering of farm animals and environmental damage done by the agriculture industry. For complete nutrition, add daily greens and colourful vegetables, legumes, a piece of fruit, plus 2 tablespoons of ground flax seed or the equivalent.

Eat Plant-Based alternatives to Meat, Egg and Dairy

Almond milk, veggie burgers and many tasty plant-based alternatives are available for sale in many supermarkets and convenience stores.

Choose Renewable Energy

Greenhouse gasses greatly contribute to habitat loss. The main human sources of greenhouse gas emissions are: fossil fuel use, deforestation, intensive livestock farming, use of synthetic fertilizers and industrial processes. The other is through natural processes like animal respiration.

Decrease Consumption of Natural Resources and Increase Recycling

Reduced use of natural resources and increased recycling decrease forest destruction, ocean pollution, etc. and thereby benefit wild animals.

Have a Smaller Family

Human population growth underlies the climate change, deforestation, desertification, pollution and other factors responsible for the ongoing sixth mass extinction.

Choose Compassionate Clothing

Shop in stores that sell clothing not made with fur, leather or other animal products.

Support Companies That Don’t Test on Animals

Firms that don’t test finished products, formulations or ingredients on animals and do not do business with suppliers that do.

Choose Alternatives to Classroom Dissection

Insist on computer simulations, clay models and other means of teaching anatomy that do not involve the use of animals.

Support Animal Welfare Organizations

There are thousands of animal welfare organizations throughout the world almost all of which rely heavily on donations and volunteers.

Sign Petitions

There are numerous online petitions intended to promote animal welfare.

Lobby Legislators to Ban Cruelty to Animals

Contacting elected officials at all levels of government in order to urge them to ban retail sales of dogs obtained from puppy mills, oppose efforts to criminalize undercover investigations at slaughterhouses, prohibit the use of wild animals in circuses, etc. can be very helpful in promoting animal welfare.

Adopt a Dog or Cat Companion

Adopting a cat or dog or some other animal from a shelter or rescue group helps to reduce animal homelessness.

Spay and Neuter Your Pets

Spaying and neutering yield a variety of benefits including longer pet lives and less homeless pets.

Employ Humane Wildlife Control

A variety of nonlethal methods can be employed to help prevent conflicts with wild animals.  We’re encroaching on wildlife, not the other way around.  They’re going extinct, our populations are out of control.

Use Humane Rodent Control

Use nonlethal methods to prevent rodents from entering homes.  If rodents can’t get access to your food, they won’t come to your house.  Use glass and metal containers for your food.

Support and Attend Events to Promote Animal Welfare

Events throughout the world that are held to promote animal welfare.

Spread the Word

Increasing awareness of wildlife poaching, factory farm practices, the treatment of animals in laboratories, homeless cats and dogs and related issues helps to improve the well-being of animals.

It’s All for Love!
