The Heart-Break of the Dakota Access Pipeline

daplThoughts and prayers for those brave souls who are peacefully protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline.  Thank you from all of us!

I know a few people who left the Oil and Gas (O&G)  industry because they witnessed too many unconscionable practices.  When I worked at an Alberta division of a large bank, several officers commented that Alberta had been devastated by the open-pit mining and toxic oil extraction processes of the Oil Sands.  They said it was a horrible thing to witness.

From what I both heard and saw, the O&G industry operated with the same greed and feverish recklessness as the Gold Rush during the Klondike.  Very little thought was put into protecting people, species, or the environment in general.  Environmentalists were viewed as a major aggravation to O&G corporations that were bent on depleting  Alberta’s natural resources as quickly and cheaply as possible.

Governments and third party consultants sided with O&G companies.  Too many turned a blind-eye to the environmental and cultural devastation when First Nation lands were polluted and rendered poisonous and uninhabitable because Oil was so lucrative.  Decision-makers focused on wealth in the short-term, not the price their children would pay for a devastated planet in the long term.

Though the years have passed, it looks like little has changed.  At the Dakota Access Pipeline, it’s become evident that the thirst for money (not water) has once again rendered politicians and O&G decision-makers deaf, numb, and blind when peaceful protesters are water-bombed in freezing temperatures, plastic bullets leave peoples’ flesh showered with holes, concussion grenades tear apart a woman’s arm, and ambulances are blocked from helping the wounded.

Anonnews.co reported, “One young water protector, Sophia Walinksy, now faces the possibility of amputation, after one such device exploded point blank on her arm, shredding it down to the bone. A 13-year-old girl was shot in the face with a rubber bullet, and two tribal elders suffered cardiac arrest during the brutal police offensive and had to be resuscitated on scene.”

A few years ago, a highly successful investment manager in Toronto told me his vision of the future.  He said, “It won’t last. The oil will run out.  Eventually, air travel will stop.  Everything will halt and industry will become more local.  Family farms will likely return to become the norm.”

I hope this is true, for all our sakes.  Global Warming is already a harsh punishment for burning up the Earth’s fossil fuels.  Our hunger for fossil fuels has resulted in droughts, tsunamis, earthquakes, tornados, and the list goes on.  Of course it’s not just Oil and Gas. Corporations in general are acting irresponsibly.  Large industry farms are some of the worst offenders and have expedited global warming in a terrifying way.

The ForceIt feels like we’re all driving 100mph (161 kph) toward a stop sign on the edge of a cliff.  I wonder what would happen if O&G corporations slowed things down, acted with compassion, met and really listened and collaborated with, the good people who live in the places where they want to bury their pipelines and build open pit mines, etc.  What leaders are big enough or powerful enough to slow things down?

Making more money has become society’s mantra but it’s time to shift our focus from the physical to the spiritual.  Big Industry’s wake-up call is our wake-up call.  We’re all in this together and we’re here for each other, not ourselves.

During a time of heightened spiritual awakening for the original Edgar Cayce study group, Archangel Michael came through.  He’d come through earlier in 1928.  Michael reaffirmed that it was our spiritual work which should always be our primary focus.

“BE STILL, MY CHILDREN! BOW THINE HEADS, THAT THE LORD OF THE WAY MAY MAKE KNOWN UNTO YOU THAT HAVE BEEN CHOSEN FOR A SERVICE IN THIS PERIOD WHEN THERE IS THE NEED OF THAT SPIRIT BEING MADE MANIFEST IN THE EARTHLY, THAT THE WAY MAY BE KNOWN TO THOSE THAT SEEK THE LIGHT! FOR THE GLORY OF THE FATHER WILL BE MADE MANIFEST THROUGH YOU THAT ARE FAITHFUL UNTO THE CALLING! FOR TODAY, WILL YE HARKEN, THE WAY IS OPEN—I, MICHAEL, CALL ON THEE!”

Knowing that Cayce’s life was beset by many adversities, misfortunes, and suffering, some may wonder why Archangel Michael wouldn’t solve his problems. The answer to this question was given as: “He that leads, or would direct, is continually beset by the forces that would undermine. He that endureth to the end shall wear the crown.”

It’s time to be nice to each other.  We can choose kindness, solar power, and other environmentally sustainable and socially responsible methods to prevent conflict, save lives, and save the environment for ourselves, and for our children.  We’re just souls renting bodies for the purpose of learning and growing to a higher level of consciousness.  When we recognize that every soul is precious, it will be Heaven on Earth.  War zones like DAPL will be ancient history.  Thank you to all who are creating Heaven on Earth!Get Back on The Path to Nature

I like what you are saying. These holiday times I tend to mute the noise of the ‘rush’ of the holiday season by spending more time watching the ‘Hallmark Channel’.
At times, I feel that I’m out of character watching all of the ‘Hope’ in these short shows ,
but when compared to the big picture presented the ‘Abnormal rush for MORE’ , I sense the Better side of the World and Living !

My Hope is that many more individuals and families have stopped to compare the Roses, of ‘Being and Living’ a life’ WELL COMPOSED with Love. end
