How Hypnosis Helps You Achieve Greater Heights

Eagle in the MistWhat is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a simple but powerful tool to eliminate unwanted habits, behaviours or feelings and also develop new more positive ones! People regularly use hypnosis to quit smoking, let go of excess weight, and reduce stress.  Tiger Woods is just one example of a high achiever who uses hypnosis to improve his golf swing.

Many of my clients rely on hypnosis to “get the edge.” One corporate client used hypnosis to explore ways to improve his business. In just a few sessions, he was able to shift away from years of habitual over-sleeping, procrastination and frustration and move into a new life of inspired productivity. Hypnosis prompted him to jump out of bed feeling energized, generate new ideas on the way to work, improve his overall business model, call more prospects, network with more clients,  improve his home life, plus increase his income.

Another client who was overwhelmed by irrational fears had failed her driving test 3 times. As a last resort, she turned to hypnosis. After just one session, she passed her test easily, effortlessly and was amazed at how relaxed she’d felt.

People often turn to hypnosis as a last resort, to regain control over their lives. However, those who discover hypnosis early-on recognize its power for positive change and use it to not only release unwanted emotional or physical baggage, but accelerate and positively impact their lives in countless ways. Many use hypnosis to explore consciousness through modalities like past life regression, inter-life regression, or future life progression. Historical research using past life regression is the focus of my next book.

What Does Hypnosis Feel Like?

On a recent webinar, a fellow hypnotist in Virginia, Jason Linnet, described how often he hears clients say, “I felt relaxed, but I don’t know if I was hypnotized.” Indeed, I regularly hear the same comment from my clients. If you know how to truly relax then you already know what hypnosis feels like.

• You stay awake
• You’re always in control
• You don’t divulge secrets
• You only do things you want to do
• You can never get “stuck” in hypnosis

Personally, I’d love to stay stuck in a relaxed state. In fact, you’ll find most hypnotists LOVE being hypnotized by other hypnosis practitioners because it’s all about relaxation, healing and self-improvement. How great is that?!

Scientifically speaking, when you’re in a relaxed state, your brain waves change from what’s known as “Beta” (fully alert) to “Alpha” and “Theta.” Relaxation, Meditation, and Hypnosis all have the same brain wave patterns. Tariq Sattaur, Director of the Ontario Hypnosis Centre once commented that, “Hypnosis is simply meditation with a purpose.” However, hypnosis techniques are designed to assist you in achieving very specific goals and fast results, in whatever areas you wish to improve.

What’s Possible with Hypnosis?

In hypnosis, as in meditation, your body heals faster, you feel more relaxed, calm, and in control. At the same time, while you’re relaxing, a trained hypnotist can help you achieve an unlimited number of different goals.  What would you like to achieve?  You can release years of stress, improve your memory retention for exams or public speaking, sharpen your recall to find things like lost keys or a misplaced wedding ring, improve your confidence, self-esteem, and power of focus, to name only a few possibilities.

What’s your dream or desired goal?  Sit back, relax, and let hypnosis assist you to achieve the results you desire.

One of the best ways to benefit from hypnosis is to become a hypnotist yourself.  As a Master Clinical Hypnotist and NGH Certified Hypnosis Instructor, I’d be happy to assist you with individual sessions or classes.

I look forward to more of your comments and questions.  In the meantime, focus on your goals, dreams and enjoy a wonderful day!
