Wishing you a Happy Easter!

“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”
Matthew 7:12, King James Version

Christ sacrificed himself for love so that we might better understand love.  Though his opponents wished to silence Christ, his crucifixion spread Christ Consciousness far and wide.  He rose again, so that everyone might better understand love and comprehend that everyone is an eternal soul who originally sprang from love.

Christ asks that we all work hard to transcend the physical and emotional world of suffering, so we can ascend to higher consciousness.  Christ directs us to follow his lead and “do unto others as you would have them  do unto you.”  He says, “Love them all as I have loved you.”

“Don’t do what you hate.” Gospel of Thomas

In every moment, you are creating your reality.  If you hate others, then you are simply creating hate.  Manufacture hate in yourself and you will manifest more hate into your reality, and everyone else’s.  Even in Christ’s final hours, he taught, “If you live by the sword, you will die by the sword.”

Buddha also taught the lesson about loving EVERYONE when he said
“All men tremble at the rod, all men fear death;
Putting oneself in the place of others, kill not nor cause to kill.
All men tremble at the rod, unto all men life is dear;
Doing as one would be done by, kill not nor cause to kill.”

The lesson,”Do unto others as you would have done unto you” is everywhere, in Hinduism, Islam , Ancient Egypt, Ancient Peru, and Jainism:

“This is the sum of duty: do not do to others what would cause pain if done to you.” Mahabharata 5:1517

“Do for one who may do for you, that you may cause him thus to do.” The Tale of the Eloquent Peasant, 109 – 110 Translated by R.B. Parkinson. The original dates to circa 1800 BCE and may be the earliest version of the Epic of Reciprocity ever written.

“Do not to another what you would not yourself experience.” Manco Capoc, founder of the empire of Peru
