Your State of Mind

"Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water.  Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot.  Now water can flow or it can crash.  Be water, my friend." Bruce Lee Recently, I received this chart in an email from Nightingale Conant.  It can assist you in understanding the different states of mind as a result of brain wave patterns.  With meditation, you can achieve any of these

Are Trees People Too?

"A fool sees not the same tree that a wise man sees." William Blake Recently, I became engaged in the question of whether trees and forests are sentient - sentient meaning being aware, able to make decisions and take action. Research at the Monroe Institute describes how trees can decide whether to grow big, strong and healthy or not.  Experiments have demonstrated that plants tend to wilt or die when exposed to to hard rock music and tend to flourish when exposed to classical music.  At

It’s too late to be a pessimist

What's Going On? "About 20% of the world’s population consumes 80% of its resources.  The world spends 12 times more on military expenditures than on aid to developing countries. Over 5,000 people a day die because of dirty drinking water.  One billion people have no access to safe drinking water.  Nearly 1 billion people are going hungry.  Over 50% of grain traded around the world is used for animal feed or biofuels.  Forty percent (40%) of arable land has suffered long-term damage.  Every

HOME

"We are living in exceptional times. Scientists tell us that we have 10 years to change the way we live, avert the depletion of natural resources and the catastrophic evolution of the Earth's climate. The stakes are high for us and our children. Everyone should take part in the effort, and HOME has been conceived to take a message of mobilization out to every human being. For this purpose, HOME needs to be free. A patron, the PPR Group, made this possible. EuropaCorp, the distributor, also

Is developing psychic ability important?

"Success is a welcome gift for the uninhibited mind." Adlin Sinclair Some people see auras, visions of the future, or ghosts.  Other people can heal through touch or remotely by using their intention.  However, many people experience nothing paranormal at all.  For many people, there is nothing beyond physical reality. Is developing your psychic ability important? No.  It's an indicator, a benefit, and part of the process. Personal growth is what's really important! Physicist, Thomas

Angel Cards

Last year, someone at a conference gave me a package of angel cards.  Curious, I started using them each morning before heading out to work.  With eyes closed, I would shuffle the deck while asking beings of a higher vibration, guides, or angels to tell me what I needed to know or do that day.  When a card fell out of the deck, I would open my eyes and pay attention to the message. My skeptical mind sometimes wondered if I was truly receiving divine guidance, but since the messages were always

Healing with Adam Dreamhealer

At Toronto in 2007, I experienced my first educational and group healing session with remote healer, Adam McLeod of Dreamhealer.  Yesterday on June 5th in Calgary, I attended another Dreamhealer group session, together with a friend who had been experiencing a number of health issues.  Happily, I had won two tickets in a Dreamhealer Essay Contest so my guest and I were thrilled to be seated in the front row - Thank You Team Dreamhealer! Adam's ability to teach healing techniques is as

More on What to Eat

"Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." ALBERT EINSTEIN Further to the dilemma about what to eat, you can download a Monroe Institute Recording that sheds light on the consciousness of plants, ...or simply read my chicken-scratch excerpt below.  Thoroughly inspired by the experiences of Buddha, Thomas Campbell, Bob Monroe, and many others, I am constantly reminded to stick with veggies!  It
